Ewa Gołogórska-Kucia was born in Cracow. She graduated from the Department of Painting at the Fine Arts Academy in Cracow, at the studio of Professor Jonasz Stern. She is a painter, graphic artist and photographer. She works at the Faculty of Architecture, Cracow University of Technology since 1978. In 1997 she received the title of Professor of Visual Arts. In the years 2000 – 2010 Ewa Gołogórska-Kucia has been the head of the Division of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture, CUT. She leads courses and prepares programmes at the Faculty of Architecture, for the curricula Architecture and Landscape Architecture. The scope of courses comprises: principles of freehand drawing and painting; graphic and painting composition; plein-air internships; elective course: ‘Art of place – in search of meanings’ (multifarious art activities).
Member of the ZPAP – Association of Polish Visual Artists – and of the International Association Triennial of Graphic Art. In the years 1993-1999 Deputy Chairman of the Board of Cracow Chapter of ZPAP; since 2010, member of the Board of the Cracow Chapter and head of the ‘Pryzmat’Gallery.
Moreover, Ewa Gołogórska –Kucia cooperates with other artists in realisation of animated films, which were shown during many festivals (e.g. ‘Best of theWorld’) and received many prestigious awards in Poland and abroad. She took part in over 100 presentations of Polish art both in Poland and abroad. Had several dozens solo exhibitions.
